Calculate semester GPA, cumulative GPA, and predict what you need to reach a target
This college GPA calculator computes your semester GPA based on course credits and letter grades. Optionally include previous cumulative GPA and credits to see your updated cumulative GPA. The predictor feature shows what GPA you need this semester to reach a target cumulative GPA.
Cumulative GPA is calculated by adding total quality points from all semesters and dividing by total credit hours attempted. The formula is: Cumulative GPA = (Previous Quality Points + Current Quality Points) / (Previous Credits + Current Credits).
The predictor calculates: Required Semester GPA = (Target Cumulative GPA × Total Credits - Previous Quality Points) / Current Credits. If the result exceeds 4.0, the target is not achievable this semester.
